About Us
Fox Music began with Sean Fox in 2014, as a traveling music studio teaching piano and guitar. In December of 2015, we opened a small 2-room studio in Morgantown, Pennsylvania. We quickly grew and began teaching many other instruments, in addition to group classes and a performing rock band. With several teachers and a growing studio, we moved down the road to our current 3-room studio in 2019. We moved lessons online in 2020 and came back to in-person lessons at the end of that year.
In 2018, we started our musical theatre program with a tiny 4-person production! We have continued to develop our program and now produce 2-3 musicals per year.
As we have grown, we have been happy to add several members to our family, and now have 4 children--each of which show a deep love of music!
We are a friendly, down-to-earth, family-owned and operated business. We are happy to be a part of your family, as you are with ours. Our studio provides a safe place for musicians of all stages to learn, grow, and build community.

Frequently Asked Questions
At what age should children start private lessons?
We recommend beginning private lessons as early as 6 years old. We also offer 15-min preschool lessons to ages 4 & 5, in which we provide a more dynamic approach, with a shorter lesson length.
Because music is a language of its own, children benefit from exposure to many different genres, instruments, live performances, and reading musical notation. The earlier the better!

How often should I practice?
Although we recommend frequent practice to get the most out of your lessons, everyone's practice routine will look different. A great benefit of private lessons is the personal practice coaching. We will spend a few minutes of each lesson talking about your personal home practice routine.
Do you work with students with special needs?
Each of our teachers has a different experience level with children who have learning disabilities or special needs. Our studio has worked with children with physical and mental limitations including autism spectrum disorder, Please contact us to ask specific questions about your needs.

The first question when considering what instrument to play is what instrument do you like to listen to?
If you are still unsure of which instrument to play, a great place to start is piano! Piano is fun, relatively easy to get started with, and gives a great visual layout of musical concepts.
If you are STILL unsure, come and take a free trial lesson and see if the instrument you are considering is right for you.
