Meet Your Instructors
Meredith Davis, director, vocal instructor, Meredith started singing in church at a young age. Throughout high school and college Meredith was a member of chamber, gospel, and co-ed choirs. She was also a vocalist with Charleston Southern University’s worship leadership team who traveled and performed at churches most weekends throughout SC and NC. Meredith studied theater, with a minor in music, and has since been teaching music and theater in a private school setting. Her time teaching included private vocal lessons, directing over 100 elementary students in annual musical productions, and developing middle school and high school student lead worship teams. Since college, she has continued to use her gifts in a church setting leading worship for camps, retreats, and weekly worship services with her husband. Her blend of music and theater experience has also afforded her much time and training in live sound production as well as leading a band. Meredith’s experience puts her in a unique place to teach voice in a way that engages the student in understanding simple ways to develop and leverage body and technique. Her approach brings purpose to the mundane and creates building blocks and good habits to better develop the vocalist, no matter how far along they may be. When she’s not teaching, you can find her hiking, kayaking, or just relaxing and spending time with her husband.
Marcy Fox, co-director, vocal instructor, studied classical vocal technique under notable soprano Othalie Graham and Metropolitan Opera House guest Catherine Martin. In addition to her 9 years of teaching private voice and violin lessons, Marcy teaches Theatre Kids!, assisted in the production of Disney's The Lion King, Jr, and directed A Charlie Brown Christmas, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Getting to Know Cinderella, The Wizard of Oz, and Peter Pan, Jr. and The Sound of Music with Fox Music. When not rehearsing, Marcy enjoys teaching art at St. Justin Academy and homeschooling her 4 children.
