Improvisation 101

Instrumentalists of all ages are welcome in this 5-week crash course, covering all basic aspects of improvisation relating to all styles of music, including rock, blues, country, and jazz. Get started creating your own music--growing your creativity and utilizing your tools to the fullest. Stay wasting time just thinking about making music--learn how to create music on-the-spot. Perfect for anyone wanting to get away from the books. 

This course is useful for musicians of all instruments, though the piano and guitar will be used as reference. You will gain a better understanding of music theory and its practical applications. Recordings of each session will be made and sent after each class for your reference.

An in-studio jam session will be held Friday October 16, 6:30-7:30pm at Fox Music Morgantown for those able and interested in utilizing new improv skills.
